Are CVTs The Best (Fastest) Transmissions?

Just when you saw that it was safe and you had finally figured out whether you want to buy a car with an automatic or a manual transmission and got yourself over that back-and-forth battle that people can never seem to set down, you’re faced with yet another decision.

Now, you can’t just go out and buy an automatic, well, you could in theory, but you should probably know that every automatic was not built alike. Depending on the application and what the designer was looking to do when they picked the transmission to match the car, different types of automatic transmissions could have different pros and cons.
