Badass LSX 418 2.9 Whipple Denali AWD LAUNCH!!
There are two kinds of people in this world when it comes to performance applications. There are those that wear their heart on their sleeve, showing that they drive one of the baddest vehicles on the road, or at least the driver thinks so, as they show off a car that’s in your face, wanting others to know exactly what’s under the hood. A good example of this would be a bright colored Mustang or Corvette that’s complete with a loud exhaust maybe a little bit of cam lope. People know that a car like this is going to be ready to try and punch you in the mouth if you try to line up with it.
However, on the flip side of that coin, there are people who would rather not show their true colors but instead, wait for somebody to line up in the next lane to get down to it, maybe, at that point, showing that they have been hiding a little bit of something under the hood that means that their machine is ready to do business. We definitely have a soft spot for both of these types of applications but there’s something about a very well put together sleeper that really sticks out to you, making you feel like you’re almost getting away with some sort of dirty little secret when you watch the vehicle that doesn’t really look like it’s meant to be all that fast, doing exactly what it doesn’t look like it’s meant to do.
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with a GMC Yukon Denali that, let’s just say, has a lot more hiding under the hood than what it looks like. This thing isn’t necessarily screaming through the streets but that’s idea. It’s complete with 418 cubic inches of LSx power under the hood and those cubes are reinforced with a whining 2.9L Whipple supercharger. This thing might be a sleeper but when push comes to shove and you see that all-wheel-drive launch, it will still put your jaw on the floor all the same. After checking out this beast of an SUV, be sure to tell us what you think of this SUV and if you would find yourself happy to be sitting behind the steering wheel.
