Beyond The Build: Season 2, Episode 5 “Up In Flames”

The upgrades and modifications to both cars in the Battle of the Boost Sweepstakes are complete, so now it’s time to make them look as good as they run. That’s where we pick up for Episode 5 in this season of Beyond The Build.

Now that Ron and Shawn from Vengeance Racing have buttoned up the ZL1 and James and his crew from ACG Automotive handled the turbo swap on the AMG C63, we sent both cars out for some visual upgrades, as well as some paint correction and protection. We start out with our friends at SD Wrap, who have handled the graphics on past few sweepstakes cars, and as always, they make sure to get both cars done in time for our promo shoots that are coming up just a few days later.

After locking in the deadline with SD Wrap, we head to Auto Armor, where the ZL1 gets a protective clear bra wrap for the nose to help protect the aggressive from fascia from errant rocks and shopping carts. Finally, both cars get a full deep cleaning, paint correction and the all-important ceramic protection from Elite Finish. These two companies do great work and their services and products will ensure the winner will have no worries about the finish of their new ride! Finally, both cars are delivered to SD Wrap, where they get the finishing touches applied to the newly-protected exterior.

While all of this has been going on, our videographer and editing guy, Oliver, has been battling a stubborn fuel leak on his KTM 950 Supermoto. He and Andy have been chasing this issue for several days, but just can’t seem to stop the leak. While he continues to battle the drip, the Boss decides to surprise him with a car. While the crew watches on, Charlie rolls up in an Audi A5 and tosses Ollie the keys, and you can see the surprise and gratitude on his face says it all! It’s awesome to see our guys taking care of each other and making sure we all have a way to get where we need to go safely.
