Chevy Goes The Wrong Way Down The Interstate Gets Leveled By Big Rig
As they say, buzzed driving is drunk driving. On the other hand, it would probably take a little bit more than a buzz to do something like this. Drivers traveling on Interstate 74 West in Illinois couldn’t believe their eyes Saturday morning when they looked across the median. On the other side, 24-year-old Tyler N. Vanalsburg of Bettendorf, Iowa was operating his Chevrolet Silverado. However, instead of traveling eastbound, he was also traveling westbound on the wrong side of the highway. The situation got tense as he missed car after car. Eventually, the incident would end with a head-on collision with a semi-truck.
The Silverado would be absolutely obliterated and the semi-truck would roll into the median, catching on fire. Contrary to what everyone is thinking, the outcome actually wasn’t all that bad, all things considered. Sure, odds are that neither of these trucks will ever see the road again. However, both drivers reportedly were able to walk away with nothing more than minor injuries. We can’t say for sure, but we would venture to think that the odds of survival for the driver in the pickup are astronomically low.
The video below shows the incident in its entirety. We have to warn you, though, because this one is a little bit jarring, to say the least.
Charges have yet to be announced for the driver of the truck. No matter what comes down, legally, though, this driver should consider himself lucky to be alive. No matter the outcome from here, it looks like he already won the lottery on this one. For those who are looking for a wakeup call, this is that situation staring you directly in the eyes. This could happen to anyone. If you’re looking to have a drink this summer, be sure to dial up an Uber!
