Can a YETI Brand Bucket Hold a Massive Dodge Pickup?
If there is one market that people probably didn’t see coming, it would be the current state of coolers taking a premium price tag. If you asked most folks who casually use their coolers for vacationing to keep their drinks cold or maybe a day trip out on the lake fishing, they might tell you that the cheapo cooler will do, however, others who use their coolers a lot more may have a different opinion.
For some reason, it seems like the outlook on the value of a high-end cooler is pretty much a split decision, with some people claiming that it’s a massive waste of money and others saying that the durability alone makes it worth it if you use your items heavily.
One of the brands that we have seen rise to success with this premium cooler model is YETI. You might also notice that the company has taken advantage of its image to pump out some other items like cups and clothing as well. This time, we check out yet another item that the general public probably may be split on yet again as the company has taken a common item that can be purchased for a couple of dollars at a local hardware store, with your common bucket, and transformed it into what they thought to be a more durable version that they slapped a price tag of $40 dollars on.
If you follow along in the video below, you’ll be able to watch as this high-end bucket is put through the test against one of the cheap buckets in a whole range of durability tests to see just how much you can beat on this thing before it gives in. Perhaps one of our favorite parts of the test is toward the end when the experimenter decides to roll his Dodge Ram 2500 up on top of the bucket, seeing if the structure will stand up to the weight.
