Chrysler Hemi FirePower | Starting a Rebuilt Engine For the First Time
For those of you who have been following along, the folks over at Hagerty have been pouring their blood, sweat, and tears into reconstructing a Chrysler Hemi FirePower engine, all 331 cubic inches of which has required their blood, sweat, and tears to bring together!
Before, they showed us a time lapse of exactly how this thing started out in the condition that you see in the picture below and somehow managed to make its way all the way to the finished work of art that you can see in the second picture and video even further down the page.
Anyways, as most who have spent a serious amount of time in the garage can attest to, it isn’t exactly a walk in the park to transform a rusty old relic to something worthy of admiration but that’s exactly what the folks at Hagerty did as you can see how nicely the finished product managed to come together down below. This thing is so clean that you could probably eat off of it if it weren’t for the guilt of knowing that you’d be dirtying such a magnificent power plant.
Check out the video below that shows off the engine as it roars to life and belts out a wonderful tune that you can’t help but enjoy. In fact, personally, I had to watch this one several times over to get my fix of that exhaust note. Be sure to tell us what you think of the finished product after you get a load of it for yourself.
