Cleetus McFarland and Mike Finnegan Go Wide Open in Finnegan’s Twin Turbo Jet Boat
During the dog days of summer with the weather hot as ever, we’re always looking for unique ways to get out on the water. With social distancing in full effect this year, boating really seems to be heating up. It turns out that staying away from people isn’t as depressing when you’re having fun on the water!
As one might imagine, there are tons of different methods to this madness. For someone who’s looking for a little bit of water sports action, the options are endless. It all really depends on preferences and how much money someone is willing to spend. For the mechanically inclined among us, they’ll find that the venture is a bit easier as well.
This time, we check out one version of getting out on the water that gets a little bit extreme. Over the past couple of months, we have tuned to Finnegan’s Garage to see exactly what he has been up to with his water-bound vessel. The project that has been taking baby steps to eventually become a monster just so happens to be a heck of a boat. This isn’t just any boat, though. Instead, the machine is fitted with a twin-turbo big block that’s capable of cranking out major power.
When the Hemi onboard meets 88mm Precision turbos, this time, it’s making about 1700 hp through the jet drive on low boost. Finnegan informs Cleetus McFarland that about 8 psi should make for a fun drive during this particular outing. When push comes to shove, we can really feel the adrenaline coursing through our veins from just watching. We can only imagine the feeling on board as McFarland Lays into the throttle and unleashes some freedom.
By following along with the video below, we get delivered what might be the ultimate version of Summer fun!
