Complete Round 2 of Bristol’s Street Outlaws $100,000 Dollar Race
Monday night, the stars of the hit Discovery Channel street racing show Street Outlaws put a whole new spin on the show when they loaded up and headed east to historic Thunder Valley Raceway in Bristol Tennessee for a huge no prep race. Joining the stars of the original show in competing for the $100,000 total purse were several stars of Street Outlaws New Orleans along with some of the biggest names in the world of no prep track racing.
National No Prep Racing Association was on the property with a man in the stands manning a camera to capture all of the action and they’ve posted it for those who want to revisit the action. The National No Prep cameras capture the action in real time, giving us a great view of how quick these cars actually get down the track, something that’s often lost in the editing for the show as it airs on television.
One of the wildest matchups in round two of the event was takes place around the 1:20 mark when the 405’s Shane McAlary and his ProCharged Blackbird Vega lined up to face off with Street Outlaws New Orleans star Bobby Ducote in his nitrous-huffing Mustang hatch. As soon as the green lights blink on, both cars leave hard, with Shane breaking his wheelie bars and riding out a massive wheelstand. He masterfully pedals the nose back to earth and jumps back on the throttle to try to reel in Ducote.
Meanwhile, Bobby made a solid launch but had to lift around half track, leaving the door open for McAlary to drive back around him and take the win, despite not making it all the way to the stripe under power himself but having enough momentum to stay out front and take the win, earning himself a berth into the round of 8 cars.
There are a few other big matchups in the second round, but if you want to see them you have to hit that play button below and watch for yourself to see who else takes the win.
