Daddy Dave Unviels His NEW Proline Powerplant In Golaith 2.0!
Street Outlaws star Daddy Dave revealed a while back that he’d picked up a ProLine Racing Engines 481X to upgrade in Goliath, his badass Chevy Nova, whenever he got the chance. There’s been a buzz recently that the car was down for some reason, though rumors varied wildly as to why. Well the time has come for Dave to reveal exactly what’s going on under the Nova’s hood, and he did it in true Daddy Dave fashion, live on Facebook with a little bit of a troll job.
Dave opened the video looking under the hood at a ProLine powerplant with a wicked screw blower setup, leaving the camera on his phone looking at the blower while giving the audience a minute to jump into the stream.
He walked slowly around the combo, getting nice and close and replying to a couple of comments from viewers who were excited, and a couple who knew better. In fact, the screw blown combo wasn’t crammed into the Nova’s engine compartment, instead sitting between the fenders of a nearby 1955 Chevy at Larson Race Cars.
Moving over to his ride, we see that Dave has elected to stick with a centrifugal supercharger, but has indeed dropped in the 481X powerplant and has a monster 136mm F3 ProCharger cramming air into it. The new combo is fuel injected and looks absolutely badass tucked between Goliath’s framerails. The new combination should be good for an estimated 3,300 horsepower, almost a thousand more horsepower than the previous combo, which was a conventional big block with and F1-X ProCharger unit. Look for Dave and the new combo to be out soon, as soon as the guys at Larson Race Cars are finished with everything and Dave can get the front end painted to match the gorgeous dark grey paint on the rest of the car.
With an extra 1,000 ponies on tap, the 405 has been put on notice that Dave is coming to take the #1 spot!
