Dale Jr And William Byron Share Special Moment on a Special Weekend
As you might be aware if you follow the ventures of Dale Earnhardt Jr, he happens to be a heck of a lot more than simply a driver. One of his other business ventures just so happens to be that of a team owner and as he would make his parting from behind the wheel, he would be rewarded with quite the retirement treat as William Byron, a competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series under JR Motorsports would end up taking home the series championship, capping off an impressive season and taking home the trophy for himself and the rest of the team.
This win comes as the second Championship for JRM and just like previous JRM champion, Chase Elliot, Byron will also be leveling up to the Cup Series next year as he will be behind the wheel of the 24 car, fighting his way along in the most intense circle track racing series that this country has to offer. The competition will be intense and I’m sure that there will be a lot of learning to do but Byron has shown that he’s up to the challenge by taking Xfinity by storm and putting the win in the bag for this year.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. himself had a lot of good things to say about Byron and seems pretty convinced that the youngster’s talents will serve him well at the next level, keeping positive that the work ethic will be the driving push behind those talents to put Byron in the running for the Cup Series championship one day. Only time will tell how Byron will pan out at the next level but for now, I think that maybe he should take some time after a hard-fought season to look back on everything that he has to be proud of. After all, next season is rolling up quickly!
