Dallas Cowboys Receiver, Terrance Williams, Charged with DUI Following Lamborghini Crash
Sometimes, when you look at the way that some professional athletes carry themselves, you can’t help but wonder what exactly is going through their heads. I get that we’re all human and we all make mistakes sometimes but when the stakes are as high as they are for these guys, you would think that they’d have a little bit of extra sense in their heads to try and avoid situations that would land them on TMZ for the wrong reasons and, worse yet, in trouble with the law.
Apparently, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Terrence Williams, couldn’t manage to do that as he would land himself in what looks to be some hot water. With all of that money, the options for a ride are nearly limitless but many signs point to Williams driving drunk anyway.
Now, a seemingly drunken Williams told a completely different story, but from the way that things look, it would appear as if he wrecked his Lamborghini and fled from the scene, only to find out that he left his cell phone in the car, therefore returning to the scene of the accident to retrieve it on a bicycle while completely hammered drunk.
Police would catch up to Williams as he made his way down the side of the street on his bicycle, unable to even do so much as keep his balance and remain upright. Police dash cam video shows Williams going over the handlebars of the bike in a moment that he’d probably like to soon forget.
Upon questioning, William was adamant that his friend was driving the car and crashed it, calling Williams to come see the damage, however, that story doesn’t quite align with the fact that his cell phone was in the car. We’re kind of are wondering the same thing as a police officer as to how exactly his friend called him, like he proclaimed, with Williams’s cell phone still being in the car, an almost impossible scenario. Before long, this one will probably be playing out in the court of law, but I think that the court of public opinion is going to speak out a little bit sooner than that.
Williams’s fate with the Cowboys and the NFL is still undetermined.
