Dodge Unviels NEW Features on the Dodge Demon With Race Hardened Parts
If you have had the pleasure of hanging around the drag strip, you know that even when an engine and transmission can run at top notch and create all kinds of power, the other components supporting them aren’t always up to the task of making sure that they do their jobs properly.
Well, beings as the yet to be fully released Dodge Demon is slated to be a fully built racing machine, the team behind it decided that they needed to beef up all of the components that get that power to the ground as well which is a very good thing given the amount of Hellcats that we saw chucking axles and driveshafts last year at the track.
In this week’s teaser, we get the lowdown on some of the parts that we can expect to see hardened up a little bit including the driveshaft (15% torque capacity increase), 41-spline half shafts (20% torque capacity), and differential housing (30% torque capacity increase). All of this is accompanied by a four-point harness bar, meaning that Dodge expects this thing to be seriously fast! That’s very welcome news to those who have been considering picking one up.
Check out the video below that teases these race hardened parts that contribute to pulling away just a little bit more of the cover over the upcoming Demon. This thing is shaping up to be one heck of a car that I can say I’m incredibly excited to see out on the strip. I think I speak for a wide range of enthusiasts when I say that.
