Don’t Sleep On This 5.3L Turbo Chevrolet Silverado
We’ve seen the potency of the boosted 5.3 combination time and again, and this video we dug up from 2013 shows just how long this setup has been throwing down impressive ET’s.
This Silverado sounds like a fairly tame and is most likely running a completely stock 5.3 powerplant with a small turbo to keep everything in check. It also looks like the owner has kept most of the truck intact instead of chunking weight to go faster. He also launches the truck very conservatively, likely to preserve the drivetrain. Despite all of that, the truck still manages to rip off deep 11’s at 120 MPH!
This is hardly the quickest or fastest single cab Silverado we’ve seen, but it does show us the flip side to the all-out builds we’re used to. This is a conservative build that most any of us could likely afford, and will still outrun about 90% of cars on the road.
