Electric Snow Melting system installed in an Asphalt Driveway

If you live in an area that receives snow, you know how much of a back breaker it can be to get out there and remove all of the snow from your path so that you can safely get yourself and your vehicle on and off of your property. While there might be solutions like a snow blower or paying the kid down the street to shovel it all, this time, we check out something that might be even simpler than that as these guys decide to bury a heating element so that the people behind this driveway never need to shovel their way out again. I’d imagine this is about as convenient as it gets on those cold winter days!

After locating where the utilities lie underground, the job is underway, laying down gravel and a couple of coats of asphalt with the element in between. This has to be the ultimate luxury instead of strapping up with your warmest clothes to head outside and get to work on the days that are among the coldest of the year. You really avoid a lot of headache with something like this that is definitely a way of working smarter instead of working harder.

Check out the video below that gives you the top to bottom, telling you all about how this system is put in place to make life just a little bit easier when the conditions are at their worst! After seeing all that goes into a process like this, be sure to tell us if this is something that you would be installing in your driveway to avoid some manual labor when snow season comes around. I would imagine that the cost would be pretty steep, but if you’re already doing a driveway anyway, it may just be worth it.
