Fez From “That 70s Show” Bought the Show’s Oldsmobile Station Wagon For Next to Nothing
Over the years, Wilmer Valderrama has been credited for acting in a total of 75 different shows and movies, says IMDb. However, we might argue that his best work came early in his career with That 70s Show. That’s not a slight on him but the show has met such massive critical acclaim and popularity that it’s kind of hard to be able to top, even with a long and successful career.
For those who are fans of the show, they probably remember that there was one automobile that played quite the role in really tying it together. As the teenagers hung out and did teenager things, there was always that Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser station wagon sitting in the driveway.
The car played an important role in the show and is one that is a key part of pop culture. It’s not something that one would think it would be easy to get your hands on. However, it seemed rather simple for Wilmer.
With the show coming to an end of an epic run, Valderrama wanted to take a little something home with him. When he headed to the prop department, he says that he asked about the Vista Cruiser to see if he could add it to his own personal collection. To his surprise, he was actually able to obtain the car for the small sum of $500.
We could probably guess that in today’s money, he ended up spending a little bit more than $500. However, at the end of the day, this is an insanely cool prop and probably ended up profiting the actor a couple of bucks along the way as well. It’s kind of hard to price out a movie and TV cars. However, we don’t think that it’s too much of a stretch of the imagination to say that there was a little bit of profit to be had here even though Fez says he’s never parting with this ride!
