First Ever Side-By-Side 3.70 Radial Pass! INSANE!
Small tire racing closed out the 2016 season with a bang at South Georgia Motorsports Park when these two radial-tired badasses threw everything they had at the ultra-sticky surface and laid down the quickest side-by-side run in history.
Coming into No Mercy 7, Duck X Productions’ fall extravaganza, Sand Springs, Oklahoma native Dewayne Mills was riding a wave of wins and killer ET’s and rolled into the gates as the hands-on favorite. He blitzed the Radial vs the World field to find himself in the finals with a somewhat surprising opponent in the lane beside him. “Nova Joe” Albrecht made the swap from Outlaw 10.5 to Radial vs the World trim and made the haul from New York down to the Deep South and put up some impressive numbers from his blown GTO to earn his spot alongside Mills in the final frame.
When the tree dropped, Albrecht took a slight lead, which he held for much of the race until Mills’ boosted ProLine powerplant mounted an insane top-end charge – he out mile-per-houred Albrecht by a full 9 MPH – allowing him to just nose out Nova Joe in the lights and take the $60,000 winners cut back to Oklahoma. When the scoreboards showed the numbers, the crowd remaining collectively gasped as the LED’s flashed a 3.78 at 200.00 for Nova Joe, which came up just short of Mills’ 3.76 at 209.72 MPH, making this the quickest side-by-side small tire run in the history of the sport.
If this kind of thing gets your heart pumping, either get on the road RIGHT NOW and head to SGMP, or watch for the live stream coming from Lights Out 8, No Mercy’s bigger, badder twin that kicks off the season this weekend!
