Guy Donates His Corvette With 773,000 Miles On It To The Corvette Museum

If you thought that you have a lot of miles on your car, we’re going to need you to stop what you’re doing and pay attention! Sure, clicking over the 250,000-mile mark or maybe even 500,000-mile mark might be impressive but what the owner the Chevrolet Corvette did was beyond any of that. It was so impressive, in fact, that the car ended up being worthy of finding itself in the Corvette Museum out in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a place that is reserved for some of the most famous Corvettes to have ever been driven.

With this fifth-generation Corvette, the owner really did do a number to it. At 773,000 miles, the car would finally be retired but instead of finding a new owner for the 2000 Corvette, the man behind it all would send it straight to the museum. At the rate that this thing was going, it’s estimated that the car traveled over 100 miles every single day for its 18 years of service. I’m not sure about you, but that seems like a pretty heavy commuter to us. It just goes to show you how durable those LS engines can really be. Even with insane mileage like that, the car reportedly didn’t even need a head gasket change until 750,000 miles!

If you follow along with the video below, you’ll be able to get a look at the Corvette that has seen such a long stretch of road that it might just blow your mind. Many drivers might not even see that many miles in their lifetime but this old Chevy managed to seize the day in less than two decades, conquering a regular commute between Georgia and Florida with flying colors. You can definitely color us impressed by what the car was able to accomplish and it will really make a neat feature for those who visit the Corvette Museum to really sink their teeth into.
