How Not to Change Your Engine Oil! Whoops

Even though we all like to think that changing oil is a task that goes off without a hitch every time, every once in a while, even the simplest job of them all could get a little bit sloppy if one of the necessary components it isn’t in the right place at the right time.

In this video, we check out a guy who was simply trying to change oil on his car when a clogged oil collector would stop up, making this quick job a complete disaster. The job that should normally take about 20 minutes was probably doubled if not more due to the necessary cleanup time here.

After the pan clogs up and the oil starts to drain, there’s nothing that this guy can really do as he scrambles for the drain plug but it’s useless because oil is simply going to continue spouting everywhere.

Next time, a little bit of double checking will probably be in order to make sure that the job goes by a little bit smoother and, more importantly, cleaner.
