If You’re Into Pristine Autobody Restorations… This Might Make You Cringe!
There are countless ways to classify people in the world, and this video will surely highlight the divide between two certain types: those who love pristine automotive bodywork and those who don’t. As you can imagine, there is some extreme body modifications being made in this clip, so if you’re on of the people who think ultra-slick bodywork is a must, you might want to look away.
The crew from Vegas Rat Rods decided to take a rather unique approach to the rear fenders of this 54 Chevrolet wagon, cutting jagged holes in the fenders and adding some Bel Air badged beneath, to make it look as if the patina’d outer shell was being shed and a nicer, better car emerging from beneath. This was a huge risk to take, but as we’ve been taught our whole lives, without risk, there is no reward. In the end, the idea is a major success, giving the car a wicked cool look that wouldn’t have been possible by simply painting the badges on the car.
