Illegal Lamborghini Murcielago SV Destroyed In Taiwan

American car enthusiasts have heard all kinds of horror stories about the authorities destroying vehicles that were imported into the country illegally. The domestic authorities have specifically targeted the highly sought-after Nissan GTR’s that stateside gear heads are dying to get their hands on. A few have managed to get them here, only to have them impounded by the government and destroyed.

In Taiwan, they apparently have a similar plan in place for those found in possession of Lamborghinis, as this two-plus hour video shows. The whole production seems to be an exercise in driving home the police’s point, as they don’t just dump the Lambo into the crusher and compact it into a cube. Instead, the Taiwan authorities use a claw to dismantle the supercar, one painful grab, pinch and swipe at a time. The whole process seems to be a bit inefficient, but it is exceedingly hard to watch. What was once a swoopy Murcielago SV is slowly and deliberately reduced to a pile of scrap by the crane-mounted claw, leaving nothing but a mangled pile of composites, metal, glass and plastic.

For any Lamborghini enthusiast reading this, please keep in mind the Taiwanese aren’t fond of your chosen ride.
