Jerry Seinfeld Suing Dealership Who He Alleges Sold Him A Fake Porsche He Sold For $1.5m

For those who have been following the whole Jerry Seinfeld situation surrounding the sale of his Porsche, they can attest to the miserable snowballing that this situation has taken on. The long story short of the disaster is that Seinfeld, a car collector of sorts, had decided to buy and sell a rather expensive Porsche. However, as fate would have it, the person who he sold the car to would come after him for some $1.5 million in damages. The lawsuit alleged that the car wasn’t legitimate and that Seinfeld hadn’t acted swiftly enough to remedy the situation.

In the latest news surrounding the events, the comedian has since decided to climb the ladder of lawsuits. After Seinfeld made claims that he had no idea of the illegitimacy of the car, he’s now going after the dealership that he had bought it from. Jalopnik stated that “Seinfeld filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York on Monday against California company European Collectibles, over the dispute he’s now in about the authenticity of the Porsche.” At some point in the chain of sales and resales, someone has to know something about the car and be able to prove if it’s real or not, right?

As of now, there’s not much to report in terms of if the suit has made very much progress or not. Hopefully, the parties involved can come to a conclusion that satisfies all involved and maybe serves a little bit of justice. This is a tricky situation, especially given the fact that Seinfeld originally bought the car in 2012. He then subsequently sold it in 2016. After hearing about this one, it might just provide a little bit of encouragement to hold on to that paperwork just a little bit longer, boys and girls.
