Ken Block’s Climbkhana: Pikes Peak Featuring The 1400hp Hoonicorn V2

If there’s one guy who has always has a trick up his sleeve, that individual would most certainly be Ken Block. This dude seems to have not only possess some of the wildest driving abilities on tap but some of the ideas that really seem to put those abilities to the test, taking whatever car he happens to be behind the wheel of, to all new extremes, whether they be dodging in and out of obstacles, coming inches from the edge of a mountain, or just straight up killing it as he lays into the throttle and making whatever he’s driving look as nimble as humanly possible.

This time, Block is that it yet again, however, in a way that’s laid out unlike any of the other previous Gymkhana installments. In this one, he’s taking on a hill climb! That’s right, in this video, Block is going to none other than Pike’s Peak, one of the most respected hill climbs in the country, but also promises its fair share of tough driving features and treacherous elements lying beneath, should one false move be made to send the car hurling over the side of the mountain and to the unforgiving surfaces that lie below.

Block shows us why he’s the go-to wheelman as he takes on 14,000ft in the beloved 1,400 horsepower twin-turbo 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2. This one certainly throws us some nailbiting moments as the car slides its way around the course in a way like you won’t see too many, if anybody else doing it up the Peak. Normally, when drivers make their way up the surface, it’s all about maximum grip but Block, well, he’s going at it sideways!

Just in case you forgot why you fell in love with this kind of the driving, to begin with, this video will provide quite the refresher of why watching the Hoonicorn in action is so much fun. It’s certainly thrilling to watch this thing skate along the edge while it throws smoke and gets the adrenaline rolling! It almost puts you so on edge, that you nearly forget that it’s only a video!
