Lamborghini Split In Half After Brutal Crash in Miami FL
There are few words more appropriate to describe this scene than brutal, especially when you look at the cell phone video taken by the convenience store employee across the street from the scene. In what had to be a horrifying incident for all involved, the two occupants of the Lamborghini had to be transported to local Miami hospitals.
While police were hesitant to make any rulings on whether or not speed was a factor, looking at the surveillance footage all but proves the car was running at a ridiculous speed just before the crash. Combining speed and wet roads is certainly never a good idea, and then possibly involving alcohol in the mix is an almost certain recipe for disaster, and the result can be truly devastating. We don’t know the condition of the car’s occupants, now of whom was taken to a trauma center while the other was transported to the hospital.
The gas station employee who took the video of the fiery scene said that he personally witnessed one of the occupants of the car exiting the wreckage with his arm and legs ablaze, though hopefully that was just his outer layer of clothing and he was able to get the fire put out before it reached his skin thanks to the rain-soaked ground providing an area for him to lay down and extinguish the flames.
Looking closely at the surveillance footage, it seems like he was just simply going too fast for the conditions and lost control, most likely due to the water on the roadway coupled with the extreme speeds to cause the car to hydroplane, lose control and smash into the tree. That impact seems to have split the car in half and sent the tree falling onto another car nearby, which was also damaged and burned.
