Marcus Birt Outlasts Impressive Field to Secure “Radial vs the World” Victory at COVID-8

In the wake of COVID-19, the world seems to have been struggling to find normalcy again. Everyone from the racing community to the world abroad has been hit in some way by the byproducts of the pandemic. With that in mind, it seems like there is a widespread question about when we will be able to get back to normal once again.

In the world of racing, it seems like baby steps are being taken toward that goal. While races are probably going to spend a little bit of time without a full audience in attendance, that isn’t stopping the action. Instead, different racing series are taking it upon themselves to compete without an audience in attendance.

This past weekend, drag racing’s most popular promoter in DuckX Productions put on an event with some of the fastest cars in their respective classes. As such, the COVID-8 was born and would give us all some much-needed entertainment in this time of quarantine. We’ve been itching to see how some of last season’s favorites would pan out this year. The COVID-8 gave us a taste of just what that would look like.

Down in the video below, we check out the highlights presented by the crew over at Speed Video. These highlights recap all of the final races that take us to the most pressure-filled situations from the event. With all of the marbles on the line, we would watch as Marcus Birt would be able to top Jeff Miller to lay claim to the event’s Radial vs the World title. All eyes were on the race as Birt proved that he was the fastest and most consistent of the impressive 8-car field.

We also get to watch the moment that Roger Holder manages to take home the Pro 275 crown over Ziff Hudson.

In an age where there isn’t much racing, this was some much-needed competition.
