McLaren Owner Goes Airborne, Smashes Lamborghini Aventador and BMW i8
You know it’s a bad day when a $150,000 BMW is the least expensive car in a three-car accident.
Footage has been circulating that showcases a BMW i8 and Lamborghini Aventador SVJ cruising alongside one another when a major plot twist derails the whole video. These cars are worth $150,000 and $500,000 or so, respectively. Whether or not they’re worth six figures, the video sill manages to turn from a casual cruise into complete mayhem when a McLaren 570S that retails for somewhere in the ballpark of $200,000 comes from out of frame and slams into both of these cars.
For one reason or another, the driver of the McLaren thought that he would be able to fit between the BMW and the Lamborghini. In reality, though, apparently, the gap was just too small for the exotic car to fit which would end with an expensive crunch. We searched around and were unable to find a reason that the driver of the McLaren thought the maneuver would be a good idea. Perhaps the driver was thinking that a flyby between the other two exotics would just be a cool thing to do. I guess that he should’ve thought twice, though, because things got ugly in a hurry.
It appears as if the McLaren runs into the white Lamborghini first, actually skipping into the air before blasting into the door of the BMW.
The incident unfolded just north of Atlanta, Georgia and it was reported that there were no injuries following the costly crunch.
Down in the video below, we can follow along and watch the theatrics as three cars that cost as much as some houses get collected in one fell swoop. It’s a painful clip to watch but also a stark reminder to think twice before you try to show off.
