Mike Rowe visits a Garage in Indiana That Runs a Therapeutic Bike Building Program for Veterans.

Whether you realize it or not, almost everybody knows the distinct voice of Mike Rowe, but what many don’t know is that Mike has made it his mission to improve the world around him, and for those around him, in as many ways as possible by spreading positivity and hope through his work as a host and narrator, as well as through programs of his own. But knowing what I do about Mike, he doesn’t want this to be about him, and it’s not all about him, but his amazing generosity and spirit needs to be acknowledged.

The star of this video, however, is Jason, the creator of Operation Combat Bikesaver and the amazing program he’s built to give combat veterans an outlet to help them cope with their wounds, whether they be physical, emotional and/or mental. OCB allows these veterans to really dive into something they’re passionate about while also reintegrating into society here at home, all the while learning marketable skills that can help them find jobs.

Jason has been funding the project out of his own pocket for the most part, leaving him using limited, outdated tools which is Veterans have to share while they’re working. This is where Mike and the crew of Returning the Favor come in.

They’ve rounded up a truckload of new, modern equipment, including welders and pipe benders that will all the guys to work without waiting on one another to get finished with the tools and equipment. They also gave the building a great new coat of paint and garage door openers. The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Club made a massive donation to help fund the operation, and Mike and the crew from Returning The Favor picked up the tab for rent on the building for the next year, leaving Jason to focus on growing and building the OCB program and not worrying about keeping the doors open!
