“Need For Speed Heat” Officially Announced November Release, NFS Goes Miami

As crazy as it might sound, it has been the far fetched media that has gotten us into cars. This could be something like The Fast and the Furious or Need For Speed video games. We can almost hear Snoop Dogg’s rendition of “Riders on the Storm” playing in the background of Need for Speed Underground 2.

For those who aren’t in the know, the NFS franchise is actually still producing games. In total, it has seen 23 titles come out. While the franchise is certainly storied and has produced plenty of hours of gameplay, recent renditions have been, well, lackluster. If you ask online media critics at Metacritic, the latest versions might’ve deserved that quick price reduction.

However, it seems like the folks over at Electronic Arts will continue to try to find their marks. Their next upcoming title by the name of “Need For Speed Heat” promises to pack in just as much racing action as we’ve come to expect.

From what we can tell in the trailer, it looks like the game is going to drop the user in the heat of Miami culture. The trailer almost feels like something out of a Fast and Furious movie. We get to see fast and bright cars along with lights and music at vibrant meets. From what we can tell, it looks like racing only begins to scrape the surface.

By following along in the video below, we get a little bit of a teaser of what the experience is going to be all about. It seems like the people behind it wanted to focus on standing out and police chases. The action comes at us from fictional Palm City.

Engadget.com gives us the inside scoop that the main storyline is going to revolve rogue police looking to track the player down. Aside from that, we can expect all the NFS essentials. These include both day and night racing, a long list of cars, and extensive modification.

For those looking to get into this game, it hits shelves and digital download November 8th.
