Never Before Seen Footage of Big Chief’s Old Crow Emerges
In the current day and age, drag racing can be a little bit spotty.
With the current pandemic circulating, ideas seem to go back and forth between keeping tracks open and closing them down. With this, we have seen widespread cancellations of racing events. Some of the events that have popped up have definitely managed to bring in their own level of success. However, it can be a bit of a struggle to organize any sort of sizable drag racing get together.
Today, we were able to find a little bit of a walk down memory lane floating around on the Free Life Films YouTube channel. Over the years, we have seen some crazy competition go down at the Outlaw Street Car Reunion. Not only is the competition intense but the cars also bring a heavy hammer to the table. Lots of these guys aren’t willing to give an inch as they battle it out to the finish line.
This time, Free Life Films digs into their archives to bring us a little bit of action from a couple of years ago. At the time, they only released this action on DVD. Today, though, we get to see it uploaded to YouTube for free. There’s a lot of win going on in this video. Not only does it take us back to a simpler time when we didn’t have to worry about wearing masks and social distancing. It also shows us a blast between the walls.
There are even a couple of familiar faces like Big Chief behind the wheel of the old Crow among others. There’re even some drivers wheeling cars that we haven’t seen them behind the wheel of in years. Let’s just say that if you’re immersed in the drag racing scene, this one will put a smile on your face. If not, there’s still an abundance of adrenaline-packed action to love in this footage from Memphis International Raceway. – Midwest Streetcars
