Nitrous Breathing Demon Takes It To The 9 Second Zone
Straight out of the box, the Dodge Demon is one of the most capable drag racing machines that most will ever see. In fact, we have to say that Dodge was really forward thinking with the release of the car. I can’t recall too many other models, across brands, that were this focused on drag racing. In turn, the cars also remains street legal. Sure, we have vehicles like the COPO Camaro and Ford Mustang Cobra Jet. However, neither of those cars are for street use at all. In fact, they don’t even come with a vehicle identification number needed to get tags.
Even though the Demon might be a very capable and very impressive racing machine, it’s still going to be modified. No matter how good of a vehicle is, it usually turns out that the aftermarket can make it even quicker. The Demon is certainly included in that thought process. This time, we get the see a Demon that manages to crack into the 8-second range. Long story short, the Raucous nitrous infused Demon featured in the TalonTSi97 video here isn’t built to play games. This thing is definitely delivering when push comes to shove.
By following along down in the video below, we get to check out the car as it barrels its way down the track to a sub-9-second pass. In order to accomplish the 8.86-second elapsed time in the quarter mile, some bolt-ons along with upper and lower pulley are needed. In addition, we see the car also has a fuel system and Nitrous Outlet progressive 75 shot. Barth tuning brings all of these aspects together as the car creates 950 WHP with blower only and 1052 WHP when the spray kicks in. At the end of the day, we wouldn’t want to mess with this screamin’ Demon.
