Peeling Clear Coat With Compressed Air

If a paint job is either poorly done or just simply aged, you might find your clear coat peeling up regardless of if you want it to or not. When something like this happens, it gets unsightly and there isn’t too much that you can do to stop it once it gets started.

This time, we check out someone who looks like they’re getting ready to do a little bit of paintwork to a car that has a clear coat that has begun to peel and in order to remove the rest of the clear coat, they use nothing more than compressed air.

We watch in mesmerizing fashion as the compressed air is applied to the shoddy finish, easily lifting it up almost like skin getting peeled off of an orange. For some reason, this is a display that we simply cannot manage to look away from.

Check out the video below as nothing more than the compressed air is applied to the situation to remove all of this old clearcoat so that a new layer can be laid down to bring this panel back to life once again. Maybe it’ll even be better than its former self!
