People Make $3k/Month Selling Trash
In the age of the internet, there are a ton of ways that one can go about making money. While there is still a grind or a hustle behind many of these ways of earning income, the ease of getting into some of these games is a lot easier with a smartphone in our pocket.
One method that a lot of people have found to be profitable online is flipping items on eCommerce sites. Whether these are items that were purchased from a garage sale, found in the back of your garage collecting dust or perhaps even found in the trash, Americans make tons of money each and every year selling random stuff. It doesn’t come without a lot of hard work, though.
This time, we check in with a piece from VICE that follows around a couple who actually met in a dumpster. When the pair of folks who were keen on dumpster diving came across one another, it seems as if they’ve been inseparable ever since. These days they’ve joined forces and go through thousands of items every year, earning up to $3000 every month by selling trash. They have been saving up to purchase a boat!
When watching something like this, we find it kind of staggering just what some people are willing to throw away. At the end of the day, I suppose that some folks just don’t see it to be worth the hassle to sell an item. However, when somebody like this comes along and collects an entire group of these items, there’s a ton of money left on the table.
Down in the video below, we check in with the husband and wife who have turned other people’s trash into their own little side business. Even though they do this in addition to having a job, we wouldn’t be shocked to see a business like this grow into something a little bit more full-time.
