Possibly The Biggest Death Trap We’ve Ever Seen – Homemade Inflatable Flying Boat
As gearheads, I think I can speak for the vast majority of us when I say that there’s a little something inside of us that seeks out adrenaline. Maybe it’s just a nice little spirited romp that has us dropping gears and pounding the throttle. On the other hand, maybe it’s a little bit of racing through a mud hole that’ll get it done for others. However, for some folks, that need for adrenaline goes a little bit further. Sometimes, we see individuals taking on some activity that looks to be death-defying, all the name of getting a little bit of a rush.
For the man behind this wild display, we meet an individual who really wants to literally go above and beyond. Even after what he calls a mishap from several hundred feet in the air, he’s back at it once again to give this one another shot. At first glance, we honestly thought that his method of getting up in the air was home built. After all, it looks like somebody did their best to fasten a hang glider to a dinghy and combined it with a motor. However, a little bit of searching, we did find that there are actually a couple of companies that create these “flying boats”. While this might take a little bit of the edge off, it’s still incredibly sketchy, to say the least.
To illustrate just how off the wall something like this is, the man behind the controls here has a good way of putting it. He keeps on saying that it’s a “Good day to die”. Now, we certainly wouldn’t wish anything like that on him but it does look like he’s toying with his own life by taking flight here. By following along with the video below, we got a front row seat to the adrenaline rush that one would have to be a little crazy to try. After sitting through this one, be sure to tell us if you would be willing to head up into the air like this.
