Pro Touring Chevelle SS is Known as “War Machine” for Good Reason
Old school muscle cars will always have a special place in our hearts and in the hearts of many. There’s just something about this era that can reach out and speak to us all on so many different levels. Even beyond the fact that the muscle car was really one of the most iconic ideas in motoring when it came to combining a big power engine with a smaller vehicle, the design and passion invested in some of these vehicles really make them come to life.
Don’t even get us started about the nostalgia of what it must have been like to be young when something like a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle originally came out.
This time, we got to take a walk down memory lane with a little bit of a twist. The Chevelle as featured by the guys over at AutotopiaLA looks, on the outside, like a revived classic. However, once we take a dive into the heart of the car, we find that it also has been getting a little bit of attention under the hood. There is a lot to love about the original car but if you’re trying to go fast, the original heart just simply wouldn’t do. In its place, we find a little bit of LS architecture that really helps to spice things up a little bit. We would argue that the LS3 not only adds power but also reliability to really make this classic meets modern machine an all-around ride. We would bet it even gets better fuel economy as well!
By following along with the video below, you might just get a little bit of a rush of adrenaline. The car in question this time has the muscle and the beautiful face to match. There’s just something special about these modern makes classic muscle cars that we can’t help but love.
