ProCharged Small Block Chevy Powered Dodge Demon Hits the FuelTech Dyno, Makes Gobs of Power

When a car first comes out and really wows the crowd, it’s only a matter of time before it ends up in the racing scene. At first, it will probably just be in stock format. Before long, though, we will find a couple of versions of the car out there that are modified. A few steps beyond that, we check out cars that are built for specific classes and basically only retain certain parts of the original. They’re still pretty cool to check out as they rip down the track, though.

This time, we check in with FuelTech as they have a Dodge Demon X275 car gracing their world-famous dyno.

Under the hood, we find that the Dodge shell has taken on Chevrolet power. With the help of a small block Chevy and ProCharger setup tied together with the full suite of Fueltech electronics, this machine is making some serious steam. In fact, one pull on the dyno ends with a result of over 1700 hp.

Now just like us, you might also be curious if they took a true Demon and cut it up. At the end of the day, that might not be a financially responsible choice but I guess that if you have the money to do it then why not?

Demon fans have no need to fret, though. Instead, the car is listed as a 2104 challenger. Those who are familiar with the platform know that the Demon didn’t show off its hellacious muscle until the year 2017. With that, it’s safe to assume that this car started off as some other trim level and has simply taken on Demon assets. That certainly doesn’t take anything away from this car, though, as it’s still pretty awesome to see a machine that takes the Demon facade to a new level.

By following along with the video below, we get a real treat from the folks over at FuelTech. This video allows us to not only see how such a creation comes to life. It also allows us to listen in as some serious power is being laid down in one of the most storied dyno rooms in the world.
