Jerry Perkins gives his Ol Purple Buggy a beating on Balls Hill and Horsepower Hill. Breaking a driveshaft in the process slowed him down a bit, but not before climbing them both.

When you go balls to the wall, or in this case the hill, carnage has its way of clinging on to even the best built buggies as we see in this display of power.
