Radial vs the World Winner, J.R Gray, Gets Upside Down in Brand New Car
When it comes to drag racing, one of the crazy things about the sport is it anything could happen at any time. It doesn’t matter how well prepared a driver is or how fast their car is, at the snap of the fingers, somebody could end up in a situation that’s pretty tough to recover from. Let’s just say that the quicker these cars go, the smaller the window is going to be to recover most of the time as well. That tidbit alone should help spectators get a real appreciation for what some of these Radial vs the World cars are doing but I digress.
This time, we join in with popular drag racer and Radial vs the World Winner, J.R. Gray, as he ends up running into quite the sticky situation.
In the machine that we all know and love as “Headshot,” Gray would rocket out of the hole with things looking good off the bat. The pass looked like yet another one for the books as everything was going as according to plan. However, before long, the car would get loose and end up in quite a precarious situation. Before we know it, it’s going sideways and ends up being put right on its lid.
Naturally, there’s going to be a need for quite a bit of work to be done if a car ends up without rubber on the ground. However, we are told that Gray is already underway in the parts ordering process to get Headshot back into a recognizable state once again.
Luckily, there were no major injuries in the incident and this machine should be back out there in no time. Below, we head to the scene of the action as Justin Swanstrom broke out the cameras to capture exactly what happened on that night.
