Ready to Leave Behind Traditional Living? A Used EarthRoamer Just Popped up For Sale at a Bargain Price!

It seems as if life on the road, in a nomadic nature of sorts, is becoming a more realistic option than ever. This is especially apparent when we take a look at all of the companies that are creating high-quality vehicles to act as home on the road. One of the most impressive of the bunch seems to be the EarthRoamer as the brand cranks out all-terrain vehicles that can take on any season all while giving the owner a comfortable living space inside.

For those looking to pick one of these things up at a little bit of a discount from the $600,000 average price tag that a brand new one boasts, there are a couple that pop up on the used market every now and again. This time, we get the chance to check out an example from the 2005 model year that has shown its face on the popular auto auction site, Bring a Trailer.

As the model is getting a little bit older at this point, it has received a little bit of a freshening up of the camper body. However, perhaps a more impressive freshening up is what we find under the hood. In place of the original stock Power Stroke diesel V8, we find a 5.9 L Cummins inline six-cylinder engine.

On the interior, we find the likes of a sleeping area, kitchenette, and even a bathroom with a toilet and shower. Onboard, there’s new cabinetry along with a diesel heater and even an EarthRoamer Dometic split 12V heating and air conditioning system. The listing says tells us “Electrical duties are handled by an 875-watt solar array, a 2,000-watt AC inverter, and a pair of 255 amp-hour house batteries. The truck is also equipped with a Tidal Wave cellular antenna and Wi-Fi system.”

As for how much this bad boy costs, well, that’s kind of up in the air at this point. The truck recently ended its auction at $130,000 but because the reserve wasn’t met, we would venture to think that it’s still available for sale for interested parties. As for how much they might be asking, the NADA value gets pretty close to $200,000.

If a little bit of Overlanding is in your plans, maybe something like this could be the perfect fit!
