Remembering Paul Walker, Gone But Never Forgotten!
“If one day the speed kills me, don’t cry. Because I was smiling”
When Paul Walker uttered those words, they became an unintended prophecy, as the beloved actor would later pass away along with his friend Paul Rodas in a high-speed accident leaving a car meet in Santa Clarita California three years ago today. Walker, who was one of the main figures in the Fast and Furious movie franchise that triggered a massive explosion of interest in the sport compact movement following the release of The Fast and The Furious back in 2001, was an avid car collector whose collection has been well documented.
This video features Walker talking about the feelings associated with different cars and the reason his collection grew to it’s massive size. A true enthusiast, Walker had multiple versions of each car, and he enjoyed and appreciated them as more than just modes of transportation. While the F&F series has continued without him, his absence is felt by the fans and the stars of the series alike. We at Speed Society certainly miss his presence and on the third anniversary of his passing, we wanted to share this glimpse inside his passion.
Godspeed, Brian Spilner. Today we’ll have a tuna sandwich on white bread with no crust in your memory.
