Rick Hendrick Buys VIN#001 C8 Corvette At Barrett-Jackson For A Whopping $3 Million
As far as cars go there are very few as collectible as the Corvette, whether it be the L88 Corvette, the 427/435 cars the ZR1’s.
As far as car collectors go you won’t find one bigger than Rick Hendrick, and Rick loves to collect cars with VIN#001 having spent millions on many, including the VIN#001 collection of C1 Corvettes, VIN#001 C7 Zr1 which ended up being the last front-engine Corvette, and even the 2018 ZL1 Camaro that was the first year of the Camaro in NASCAR, He also purchased VIN#001 Ford GT Heritage Edition. Hendrick not only collects cars, but he also owns a NASCAR team, the same team that won Championships with legend Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson. Names like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Champion Terry Labonte.
This weekend at Barrett-Jackson marked a monumental sale for not only the famed auction but Corvette collectors, as well as the very first C8 Corvette, was auctioned off, the first Mid-engined Corvette to come off the assembly line.
This car has been a 50/50 split between Corvette enthusiasts who hate the idea of the mid-engine platform, and people who love it. Some saying it looks like a Ferrari, others saying it’s innovative and something cool. We love the car, and can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Congratulations Mr. H on yet another massive purchase
