When it comes to the world of performance, the Chevrolet Corvette has always seemed to be the best bang for the buck in terms of performance. Many have touted the car as offering the performance that punches in the same weight class as high dollar exotics. Meanwhile, the Corvette comes in at a fraction of the price. For the C7 Corvette, the ZR1 was only produced for a single year. It really seemed like General Motors was itching to move onto their mid-engine flagship and this car never really got its shine.
We think that’s a shame because as usual, General Motors really hit their marks with the ZR1. Say what you will about any of the other models but the Corvette seems to be one that they simply will not let slide. The Corvette is a car that GM isn’t going to take any chances with. Instead, it seems like they really invest a lot of time and money into excellence with the platform, especially with the ZR1.
This time, we’re able to take a moment in time to really appreciate that excellence as it comes out in the physical form. As we ride along with the 2019 version of the car, the top speed test carries over the span of 2.7 miles. Just how fast will the 755 hp factory freak be able to go? That’s what we’re here to find out!
Oh yeah. We forgot to mention that the performance figures are only half of the fun here. It’s also worth mentioning that this is a video that your speakers should definitely be turned up for as well. There’s just something about the scream of a supercharged Corvette that we can’t help but fall in love with. It sends a chill down the spine every last time.
