Many would consider him responsible for revealing to the world that Tesla really doesn’t want anyone working on their cars outside of their own approved facilities.

Rich holds an interesting position when it comes to the brand. He has developed a persona of being one of the most prominent folks to speak out against Tesla. On the other hand, though, he also seems to be a pretty big Tesla enthusiast. He even says that he holds stock in the company.

An All-New Problem with Tesla

This comes in the form of controlling what features a Tesla owner has access to, even after they buy the car.

Many of the “options” available with Tesla are simple software updates. This means that Tesla can not only sell the same feature several times. They also have a reach that is unparalleled in the automotive industry.
