$50 Worth of Rustoleum vs Acura Integra Experiment, How Good Could it Really Be?
No matter what way you slice it, getting someone to professionally paint your car can be rather expensive. You’re also going to have to try and figure out how to go without your car for a while around their schedule. However, there are methods of being able to clean up your ride yourself and slap a coat of paint on it that won’t break the bank and can be done in a moderate amount of time with some very simple tools. This time, we check out just that simple situation and the result was pretty interesting to look at.
Starting with nothing more than an Acura Integra that needed a little bit of love and about $50 worth of Rustoleum along with a little bit of painting equipment, this guy took it upon himself to re-spray the entire car from top to bottom, giving it a crisp white finish and providing a new look of a budget. At the end of the day, he says he spent all of maybe $50 on paint in addition to that little bit of bodywork that he had to do to get it all ready. After all, they do say that the majority of paint isn’t so much how you lay it, but instead the prep work that goes into making sure that the paint is able to lay smoothly.
If you follow along down the video below, you’ll be able to get the full scoop on exactly how it all worked out with this guy who went out to the store and essentially bought some of the cheaper paint that money can buy and laid it all out on his Integra. Sure it might not be that show quality perfect finish but with all factors considered, I don’t think that he did too bad on coating his ride with the new skin.
