Silverado Frame Rot – 40lbs Of Rust From Front Frame Only
No matter what vehicle you’re looking to buy, you might want to take a good hard look at how much rust it has accumulated. It might not always be apparent on the body but when you start digging around underneath, you might discover that the frame and other hidden panels have more rust than you might like. This is especially true in older vehicles and you’re going to want to keep your eyes peeled to make sure that it doesn’t happen to you. As someone who owns an older Chevrolet pickup truck, I can definitely attest to the fact that these things really have the tendency to pick up a lot of rust.
It is one, we see just how bad that frame rot can get as our hero with a Chevrolet Silverado digs around underneath of his truck, peeling off as much rust as he can and things get mighty interesting as he manages to come up with about 40 pounds of the compound. I’m not sure about you but personally, I’d probably be just a little bit disturbed about digging around in my truck and managing to find that much rust lingering around. It’s pretty much at the point where you start to begin to wonder if this thing is actually going to be structurally safe enough to put on the street and drive.
Follow along in the video down below that takes us on this excursion to find as much dead metal as this guy possibly can. After watching a video like this, it really reminds you to keep all of your vehicles clean and protected. If you didn’t think that rinsing off the underside of your car or truck was worth it, well, I would venture to say that this guy probably is thinking differently about it just about now.
