Smokey And The Bandit Star Burt Reynolds gone too early at 82
Burt Reynolds, one of the biggest name that hollywood gone too soon at the age of 82. Sources have confirmed that Reynolds went into cardiac arrest in a hospital in Florida today, September 6, 2018. It is said that at the time, his family was by his side.
To be frank, he’s been in too many hits to list in one short article and when searching through actors who have managed to make their way to the list of the greats, you’ll struggle to find a body of work quite like this.
Reynolds is best known for movies like “Boogie Nights,” “Deliverance,” “Cannonball Run,” and “Smokey And The Bnadit,” flicks that many of us gearheads could even attribute to helping to push us into the world of automobiles and are definitely widely accepted as films that have helped to shape the car community as we know it today. Reynolds career would be successful far past his major success in the 70s, a decade in which that he dominated the box office. In an industry where it’s easy to be a “one and done” success, Reynolds seemed to have maintained quite the image all the way up to current day.
Burt was involved in multiple films that are due to be released later this year in Defining Moments which is scheduled for December 2018. He was also involved in filming for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with co-stars Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, a movie that’s slated to hit theaters next year. There hasn’t been any announcement as to how his involvement in these pieces will be handled.
The world has lost a great one, but at least we have a body of work that spans a lifetime that’ll be able to immortalize this iconic figure. He will surely be missed.
