Stinky Pinky 2 vs Swamp Thing at Bristol 100k No Prep Race

Monday night, the stars of the hit Discovery Channel street racing show Street Outlaws put a whole new spin on the show when they loaded up and headed east to historic Thunder Valley Raceway in Bristol Tennessee for a huge no prep race. Joining the stars of the original show in competing for the $100,000 total purse were several stars of Street Outlaws New Orleans along with some of the biggest names in the world of no prep track racing.

Two of the more unique cars in the whole 32 car field faced off with each other and National No Prep Racing Association’s cameraman was there to capture all of the wild and crazy action when Disco Dean Karns lined up beside Chris Taggart to see who would advance to the next round. These names should both sound familiar as they have both been on Street Outlaws before. Taggart’s Longtop Nova Wagon – known as Swamp Thing for obvious reasons – is powered by a big-inch Reher-Morrison Racing Engines powerplant ingesting a ton of nitrous, while Disco Dean’s Infamous Stinky Pinky Camaro was the car that unpopularly “tied” with the Crowmod when a group of Ohio Racers came to OKC for race night. That car was destroyed in a violent crash, but Karns came back with an even cooler ride, this wild pink Challenger powered by a big blown hemi.

After a pair of burnouts well past the starting line, the cars back up into their fresh rubber tracks and inched toward the staging beams. As soon as they bumped into the lights, the green lights flashed and off they went. The cars looked to be in for a hell of a side-by-side battle when Stinky Pinky began to slide toward the centerline. Karns had to lift out of the throttle and watch as Taggart made a great A-to-B pass right down the unprepped track to take the win and go on to the next round of eliminations.
