Street Outlaws AZN Gets Surprised With His Old Chevy II and MAJOR Modifications

Cars have a way of working their way into our lives and taking a strong rooted position in our nostalgia. Even for those who aren’t so interested in the world of wheels, we probably all have some sort of story about a car. For AZN of Street Outlaws, that particular car was a 1964 Chevy II.

He recalled in his blog that “My first car was a 1964 Chevy II. My dad, who passed away when I was a teenager, helped me build this car. We weren’t mechanics or builders, but just working on something together as father and son.”

AZN attributes the car to the one that got him wrenching and racing. It’s also the car that helped him to make the initial connection with Farmtruck. Long story, short, there is a TON of history behind this one. If we want to talk about an icon that facilitated history, this was it. Eventually, though, AZN admits that he thought to sell it was the right thing to do. He’d later be filled with regret but hey, hindsight is 20/20. Most of us have that car, no matter what it is, that we wish we’d held on to.

However, a little over a month ago, Farmtruck would help to track down the machine affectionately known as “Chebby II” and brought it back to AZN. When he got it back, it was time to tweak some minor things. This would mean Church Boys Racing would mini-tub the car and add some suspension modifications. AZN ended up being pretty wrong here. Instead, the car would be stripped to the frame and rebuilt from the ground up.

Down in the video below, we see the finished product that’s the result of lots of love between friends. This thing not only made its way back to AZN but also took a pretty substantial step up because of people who appreciate him. For those looking to dive into every nook and cranny, AZN wrote more about it in his blog that can be found here.
