With the right vision in mind, a restomod can really show us something amazing. The concept is to take something that was produced decades ago and bring it into the modern era. With this in mind, we can see cars like this particular 1971 Chevrolet Camaro modernized and perfected. If done right, these modified classics can truly take on a life all their own.

This time, we check out a restomod that many would probably consider being just about perfect. There’re certainly different ways to take on a project like this. On one hand, you can have a loud and boisterous Camaro that screams down the streets and says “Look at me!”

On the other, we find a more subtle take that guides us through modifications that show great attention to detail.

With this particular restomod featured on the AutotopiaLA YouTube channel, we find a Camaro that falls into the latter. Don’t get us wrong, the old-school muscle car is loud and proud, screaming with a modern supercharged LS9 engine.

However, its genius is delivered in the attention to detail. When we look over the car, there are lots of places where we have to do a double-take, admiring exactly what it was that the creator was thinking when making some of the decisions and executing them.

When the final picture comes together, it seems like we have some sort of fusion of raw muscle with a couple of creature comforts. At the end of the day, though, we think that this is the essence of what a modernized 70s muscle machine would be.

There are a couple of niceties that we think that most cars should have these days. However, this particular Camaro really goes back to its roots, remembering exactly what it was that made these kinds of cars amazing back in their prime.
