Supra Driver Lays Into Throttle, Skids Across Traffic, and Causes Highway Pileup

While behind the wheel of a powerful car, things can certainly escalate quickly. With all that power, machines can zip to high speeds in a short span of time. If the power isn’t handled properly, destruction may occur. Sometimes, these situations could be prevented. Other times, though, freak accidents emerge that can put our rides in peril.

We aren’t exactly sure which one of the previously mentioned situations was the case for this particular driver. However, what we are sure of is that a Toyota Supra went down in a blaze of glory in a video captured from a nearby car. It kind of makes us cringe a little bit inside knowing that this classic machine is likely totaled.

As we follow the Supra, the car actually sounds pretty good. However, it looks like the driver might’ve just laid into the throttle at the exact wrong time. Shortly after getting some RPM together, the car in question hits a knuckle in the road.

If I were to wager a guess, I would probably say that the wheel speed quickly accelerated faster than normal due to the adverse surface. From there, it was all over. The car would rocket sideways and quickly jerk all the way across several lanes of traffic.

As the machine careens into several other motorists, we kind of cringe a little bit at the sight of it all. Import fan or not, watching a legend meet this sort of demise is a difficult thing to spectate.

When all was said and done, it does look like the accident ended up involving several different cars. We have no word on the status of anybody involved in this wreck. Hopefully, they were all able to escape without being banged up too badly. This just goes to show how quickly something like this can unfold.
