High School Teacher Arrested For Street Racing Corvette Drunk Without Pants?!
High school teacher, Stephen Stradley, was caught in a peculiar situation late Tuesday night. Just before midnight, he was found to have wrecked his Chevrolet Corvette. The man collided with another vehicle in the 1999 Corvette, causing major damage to both. From what we’ve gathered through multiple reports, the Corvette was said to be racing. There were no reports of it was simply speeding on its own or if there was another driver racing alongside the car.
Seven police and three fire units responded to the scene. The driver of the vehicle that Stradley collided with would be transported to the hospital with minor back injuries.
People get drunk and crash every day, though. While it most definitely is a terrible crime, it’s pretty run-of-the-mill. Aside from the fact that this happened in a Chevrolet Corvette, what makes it so out of the norm? Well, this is where I guess that you could say things begin to get a little bit odd. Headlines have probably proven to raise a couple of eyebrows with the details of the situation.
Stradley would be recovered wearing a t-shirt, underwear, socks, and shoes after the incident. No pants were insight when he was finally apprehended. Obviously, there is nothing illegal about that part but perhaps this points toward the nature of the situation. Police said he was slurring his speech and was unsteady when they found him. He told the police that he had “three or four” beers before failing a field sobriety test.
Stradley is a High School English teacher of 20 years. His place of employment, City View Junior-Senior High School, is trying to figure out how to appropriately deal with the case. They say that they will proceed in the best interest of their students and are taking the case seriously.
