The Dumpster Van Isn’t Your Ordinary Soccer Mom Van! Mega Sleeper
Normally, when you see a van like the one pictured in this video it’s either hauling some workers and their tools or fitted with some extra seats for a rather large family. “The Dumpster,” however, as this van has been dubbed is about as far from that kind of function as possible.
What is the van good at if it’s not designed to be a utility vehicle? Rolling coal and shredding tires is the new purpose, of course! The 2006 Chevrolet Express cargo van is fitted with an LBZ Duramax and a 4L85E transmission that really make it a brute. It isn’t bad on the drag strip, either!
An EFI Live tune, lift pump, some nitrous, built trans, slicks, and weight reduction (5500 lb race weight) really get this powerhouse into the swing of things and watching it in motion is enough to make anyone set down what they were doing and wonder what’s happening here.
Check out the video of the van below from our buddies over at Triple-X Motorsports as it rolls tons of coal all while roasting a boatload of rubber and running its way straight into the 12s in a quarter mile. Dare we say this is the one of the fastest fastest cargo vans in the world?
